Manga Dex Not Yet Down for the Count

Yes, its down. But not for long.

It has been a rough few days for the folks at MangaDex. Some form of breach has occurred causing a massive headache for the staff. Apparently it may be worse than originally assumed. The site is now expected to be down for at least two weeks as they get ready for their v5 launch.

In a twitter thread and on the front page of the site, the website admins have disclosed some more information beyond the original understanding of the data breach. The original intruder has continued their attempts to infiltrate the site and is believed to be successful again. With that, the site has been taken down temporarily while they determine a new plan of action.

If you are asking yourself, “Is MangaDex gone?” its probably not going to be gone for long. The site admins have promised to bring back the site within the next couple of weeks once the new architecture is ready, and all necessary upgrades have been made. This is likely to be a rough takeover after turning the plane around for an emergency landing already. Be ready to change your password again after you hopefully changed it the other day already.
