GKIDS Releases Pre-order for Neon Genesis Evangelion Ultimate Edition

Fans of Neon Genesis Evangelion has recently been entreated to a fantastic ending to the classic series. Now there is even more for old and new fans alike to get excited about. GKIDS has just opened up pre-orders for the “Ultimate Edition” of Neon Genesis Evangelion. In the US it is going for $274.99 +tax/shipping. It is limited to only 5,000, so first come, first served.

I wouldn’t get too excited about that just yet. This is a limited release of the original series in addition to the original movies. The release does not contain any of the new films released on Amazon Prime last week, and it does not contain the original ending song, “Fly Me to the Moon.” Everything else is contained in the box set.
