The New Thesis is a retelling of the classic Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Originally released as a series of science fiction novels, the series was originally adapted as a anime in 1988. With modern techniques and a potentially upgraded budget, LotGH: The New Thesis will follow the classic story older anime fans may remember.

Bringing The New Thesis back to life is great news for newer anime fans. The older series, while still a classic, is a very outdated series. It is particularly difficult to find despite its popularity.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes should look to serve a genre that is criminally under-served to anime and sci-fi fans alike. Animation is the perfect medium for space opera. Even from the trailer we can see the epic space battles about to be waged in this new series. Look forward to grandiose battles in space over the fate of the galaxy.
